Malas By Toni
Handcrafted One of a Kind Malas
Malas
are prayer beads used for reciting repetitions of prayers or
chants called “mantras” and helped to facilitate ritualized
mediation practice. They have been used for thousands of
years in Tibet, India, China, and Japan. Prayer beads in
different forms are used in Christianity and Islam as well.
Toni’s Malas are made with semi-precious gemstones, various
beads made from bone, glass, natural materials, or wood. All
of the malas are purified and blessed before they are sent
off into the world. They are crafted for highly potent
spiritual work as well as mind / body healing. The
conscious combination of gemstone beads on your mala with
your mantra can create a powerful synergetic force for
healing, spiritual learning, and well being.
Toni uses 108 beads on her Malas which are used in Tibetan
Buddhism, which is considered an Auspicious Number.
108 beads in Buddhism is said to represent the following
formula:
6 x 3 x 2 x 3 = 108
6 senses of a human being: sight, sound, smell, taste,
touch, thought
3 times: past, present, and future
2 conditions of heart: mind or intention, pure or impure
3 emotional states: like, dislike, indifference
Most Malas can be made to order. Actual colors may vary
