Patty Forte' Linna's work
illustrates her passion for painting and her love of capturing the simple
pleasures of urban life through her vibrant impressionism. She has won both
national and international painting awards. In 2003 she was one of 20 national
artists commissioned by General Motors to participate in the innovative
launching of their new Chevrolet SSR vehicle by painting it against the backdrop
recently signed a contract with a large publishing company that will promote
prints of her original works internationally." Although I spent many years in
marketing, I never let go of my childhood dream of being an artist. When I
finally left the corporate world, I could not have anticipated the satisfaction
that awaited me.
Eric Liddell, the great Olympian and
subject of the movie, CHARIOTS OF FIRE, was asked why he ran. He stated, 'God
made me for a purposed and He made me fast. And when I run I fell his pleasure.
' I can't articulate it any better than to echo him. God made me an artist. And
when I paint I feel his pleasure. The fact that people have responded to my work
is truly a gift and I hold it with open hands, hopefully communicating His
pleasure through my art.'"
