Ever since I was a child I have loved to draw and paint. It is the
constant search for a new insight into my surroundings which leads me to explore
different subject matter. Each painting has something special about it which
excites me. My love of nature and wildlife has inspired paintings of birds
and animals.
My travels in Italy and study of art history have given me an appreciation of Italian art and architecture. In painting I try to capture the feeling of the subject and the impression it makes on me. As a painting evolves, it becomes an individual entity which is composed of shape, color and light. The act of painting and completing a painting is immensely satisfying.
