Impressionist - Linda Saytes - Artist - Hunters Point Shipyard San Francisco Bay Area California

My artistic intent is to capture the diverse beauty and serenity of the California sea and sky; the beauty of the fog as it rolls into San Francisco, the solitude of boats anchored in the lagoon at Bolinas.

Intrinsic to my work is my experience that life is both beautiful and stressful. Within the stresses and rigors of everyday life, one needs a respite, a place of peace. I strive to provide that peace in my paintings.

A self-educated artist, I began painting in 1994 and have exhibited in California. Corporate and private clients in the United States and in Japan collect my paintings. I am a member of the Pacific Art League and the Artists Guild of San Francisco.

Linda Saytes grew up in an artistic family. Her father and many of her aunts, uncles and cousins were painters or musicians. Linda has several of her father's pieces that he painted in medical school.

As a child, Linda painted outdoors with her family. She was guided by them to watch the beauty of nature, the sunrise in the fog, the colors inherent in winter clouds.
