I have been studying art under the
direction of my father for about six years. Influenced by art all my life,
however, I've always had the goal of becoming an accomplished artist. Having
this 
goal so young has helped me to take in as much learning, influence, and
criticism from accomplished artists as I can get. I can't imagine a time when I
wasn't out in the studio, right under foot, working on all kinds of art
creations.
Working at getting an abstract, yet realistic look to my paintings I use objects people are familiar with, altering them to some extent, to look abstract, adding my personal style at the same time. My art is the vehicle through which I express my emotions. Therefore, I am inspired by events in my own life, and those around me. I try to convey the feeling behind each piece through my use of color, lighting, lines, brushstrokes, and writing.
I do a wide variety of styles with my art. My paintings, for instance, range from Still Lifes, to Figurative Abstracts. I also do collage, incorporating an abstract figurative style.
Artist’s Statement
In this world where you never know what changes tomorrow will bring, what losses you may have to deal with, or what new perspective you might gain on life, I can’t imagine what I would do without art. Art gives me a release that calms my psyche, and allows me to speak when I have no words.
