east of San Diego.
Maps will be available at: Julian Chamber of Commerce, 2129 Main
Street and Wynola Pizza Express, 4355 Highway 78 (3 miles west of
Julian.)
This event is free and open to the public, with plenty of free parking.
In the beautiful, mountain countryside of
eastern San Diego County, there live a lot of very creative people.
Approximately 12 of these artists will welcome visitors to their
work-spaces in the 8th annual Julian Open Studios Tour... a
behind-the-scenes look at this creativity.
A meandering drive amid fall colors will bring guests to studios of
artists whose work includes such media as oil painting and watercolors,
mosaics and stained glass, metal and ceramic sculpture, jewelry, fiber,
pine-needle and gourd art as well as life-castings and yarn painting.
Finished artwork for sale and works-in-progress will be on display,
whilst many artists will be demonstrating and answering questions. Many
studios will offer free refreshments.
Julian abounds in great places to eat and stay so come breathe our
fresh mountain air, explore, be inspired!
High
resolution images and interviews are available upon request.
